Between an emergent bubble of consciousness & desire/aversion, there is sense valence of pleasant, neutral or unpleasant. The anagamin’s perception makes another quantum leap inside. Each emergent bubble of consciousness is followed by noting the associated sense valence. The anagamin sees the connection between emergent bubbles of consciousness, its sense valence & the desire or aversion spawned. The process of dependent co-origination stops there, before the origination desire or aversion.

Dependent Co-Origination: The anagamin penetrates the connection between desire and aversion and the "feeling" of pleasant and unpleasant. Before the origination of desire and aversion, the anagamin acquires the sense valence of the perception and stops the process. The hallucinogenic power of desire and aversion is overcome and extinguished.
